The ability to use non-animal models for testing the toxicological safety of ingredients and foods is of interest to industry given changing consumer values regarding the use of animal testing to establish food safety.

To assist Aotearoa New Zealand food and beverage industries to understand and navigate the novel foods regulatory system to support them in developing high value products that are underpinned by a strong safety programme.
