At the Centre’s recent annual symposium, Swiss-based food safety expert Lone Jespersen recounted the trauma of learning that 23 deaths from listeriosis were linked to sliced meat product from Maple Leaf Foods, her employer of 11 years. She can still remember exactly what the sky and trees looked like that awful moment in 2008.
To make sure it never happens to you, the Centre is holding a practical Listeria Workshop, designed for food safety operations staff and senior managers across various food industries. This workshop is an excellent opportunity for participants to enhance their knowledge, share experiences, and learn from industry experts.
The workshop will be held at the University of Auckland Grafton Campus on Thursday 26th September, at $300 (excluding GST) per person.
